These Rules are the Wildlife (Composition of Offences) Rules 2020.

Regulation 2regulation_1

An offence under section 5A(3), 5B(3), 5C(3), 7(3), 8(3), 9(3) or 10(4) of the Act may be compounded by the Director‑General or an authorised officer in accordance with section 12K of the Act.

Regulation 3regulation_2

—(1) The Wild Animals and Birds (Composition of Offences) Order 2005 (G.N. No. S 174/2005) is revoked.(2) Despite paragraph (1), the Director‑General, or any officer authorised by the Director‑General, may, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the Order revoked under paragraph (1), compound any offence committed before 1 June 2020 under a repealed provision.(3) In this rule, “repealed provision” means section 5(1), 8, 9 or 10(3) of the Act as in force immediately before 1 June 2020.

The Wild Animals and Birds (Composition of Offences) Order 2005 (G.N. No. S 174/2005) is revoked.

Despite paragraph (1), the Director‑General, or any officer authorised by the Director‑General, may, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the Order revoked under paragraph (1), compound any offence committed before 1 June 2020 under a repealed provision.

In this rule, “repealed provision” means section 5(1), 8, 9 or 10(3) of the Act as in force immediately before 1 June 2020.
