Proposed text

—(1) Any person entering any property (that is to say, any premises, ship, aircraft, vehicle, stall or place) by virtue of section 56 may take with the person such other persons and such equipment as may appear to the person to be necessary.(2) Any person who —(a)wilfully obstructs a person acting pursuant to this Act and duly authorised so to act by the licensing authority; or(b)wilfully fails to comply with any requirement properly made to the person by a person so acting under section 57; or(c)without reasonable cause fails to give to a person so acting any other assistance or information which that person may reasonably require of him or her for the purpose of the performance of his or her functions under this Act,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000.(3) If a person, in giving any such information as mentioned in subsection (2)(c), makes any statement which the person knows to be false, the person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
